PiLi 霹靂!!! (Taiwanese Puppet Series)

They need more love from the world. So I'm gonna do some advertising rant here.

The puppetry is simply unparalleled, not to mention they actually cry and bleed for real; they've used technology for flashing effects that make the battles thrilling, the blinking of the eyes, the turning of the head, the clenching of the fists, the flowing of cloaks, the billowing of hair in the wind, the attitudes with which these puppet walk - all this intricacy and attention to detail make you forget that they're actually puppets - they're just too human; and I have known people who are less human than these dolls are... which is kind of... well. Which basically means you should check them out!

(The major problem they have is the language barrier, since it's in Taiwanese. But there IS a movie out that's been subbed.)

This beauty here - I mean, GUY is 嘯日猋 Xiao Re Biao.
(Not necessarily my drawing of him = beauty, but in character. Whatever, you get me.) He's a humorous character, and charismatic in his own way, but serious when seriousness calls on him. Hope I've portrayed his character properly, and that it comes out.

And yeah, he has a butt chin, which I find quite funny. But he's still good looking nonetheless.



I like them with their hair down and loose, so...
